Comments:
A compilation of Australian Aboriginal music of more than one tribe and type of music. The songs are sung "a cappella" or accompanied by didgeridoo, clap-sticks and rattles. All recordings were made in the bush under field conditions. There are songs of the Lardil people of Mornington Island in the Gulf of Carpentaria, Queensland, & of the Australian rainforest people; the songs are sung in many varied dialects and styles. An excellent sound document of a culture that holds much interest.
