Regular visitors to the Queen Victoria Market in Melbourne would recognise Stan as the Didjeridu man ('C' shed, stalls 73-74) where he sells Didjeridus, boomerangs, books, clap sticks, printed shirts (his own designs) paintings and nulla nullas. He also performs regularly with his son and dancers at the Emu Bottom homestead. It is rumoured that Stan has a Didjeridu of his own making in every major country in the world - a market that will certainly be expanded when the feature film "Welcome to WoopWoop" is released later in the year. Stan is acting in the film - produced by Stephan Elliot (who also directed Priscilla Queen of the Desert) - alongside Rod Taylor, Barry Humphries and Paul Mercurio. Stan's Didj song 'Yarramunua Red' from the album of the same name is featured on the soundtrack for the film, with songs by Elton John and K.D. Lang. Stan will also be appearing at Didjfest '97.
