Comments:
Carmody sustains his strong vocal style with hard-strummed electric guitar and didjeridu. Some of the material is linked to a community project he was involved with in Brisbane. His is an influential voice which has found an audience at a wide level, including, notably, the schools. "The positive part", he says, "is that we get so many requests from kids who want to quote the songs for school projects. It's so important to make the kids aware. The older generation are set in their ways, but it is great that the schools can use the oral tradition, because the curriculum still lies about what happened."
